Stove & Oven Troubleshooting
- Oven Not Heating: The bake or broil element is likely burned out. We also check the oven control board and temperature sensor.
- Stove Burner Won't Heat: In electric coil stoves, we check the surface element and the corresponding surface element switch. In glass-tops, we replace burnt radiant surface elements.
- Temperature is Inaccurate: If food is burning or taking too long to cook, the oven temperature sensor (thermistor) or the main control board may need calibration or replacement.
- Oven Door Won't Unlock: Usually a failure in the door lock motor and switch assembly, often following a self-cleaning cycle.
